Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I visit the dentist?
Most people need to visit the dentist semi-annually for a complete exam and cleaning. However, this amount will vary based on your unique dental concerns and needs.
When should my child begin seeing the dentist?
We recommend children begin seeing a dentist either at the age of three or once all of their baby teeth have grown in. This will help to ensure that your child can enjoy a lifetime of good oral health.
What can I expect during my visit?
Unfortunately, there is no simple answer to this question as it all depends on what your dental needs and expectations are. We create a custom care plan for each patient so we can give you a better idea of what to expect after your initial consultation.
What do regular checkups entail?
Regular checkups include a thorough cleaning and oral exam to check the health of your teeth, gums, mouth, cheeks, and tongue. Dr. Rick will also check any old fillings or restorations to ensure that they are still in good shape. We will also check for any abnormalities to begin proactively treating any dental conditions or oral cancer.
Do I still need to visit the dentist even if I take good care of my teeth at home?
Yes. Regardless of whether you take great care of your teeth or not, it is still crucial to visit the dentist at least twice per year. This will help us to detect and evaluate any oral concerns.
